2002 Distinguished Alumnus: Ray Naquin

 

Ray Naquin graduated in 1958 with a bachelor of arts in business. A resident of Hammond, Naquin has been an administrator for Heritage manor Nursing Home. In 1972, with an investment of $250 and a $6,000 loan, he founded Hammond Nursing Home, which went 27 years without an empty bed. In 1999, he started St. Francis Assisted Living Center in New Orleans. He serves on the board of directors of the Louisiana Nursing Home Association and the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators, with whom in 1989 he received the board's highest service award.
