2003 Distinguished Alumnus: Daniel J. Monistere

 

Soon after obtaining his MBA, Danny was hired by VNU Operations Center, in Coral Springs, Florida working as the research manager. Holding various positions of increasing responsibility he ultimately became the Director of Production Groups. Then, in 1992, he returned to Southeastern to be the Director of the Small Business Development Center where he coordinated all activities of the center and provided management counseling in marketing and facilities planning to the Center's clients.


In 1994, Danny accepted a position with a Houston firm, International Demographics, with the responsibility of research design and methodology for multimedia research products. While there, he created the Media Ratings Council Manual and interfaced with industry auditors. He subsequently returned to Florida to work for Adcom Information Services researching and designing the Adcom cable product.


In 2000, he was hired by Nielsen Media Research to coordinate quality control functions related to Nielsen Television ratings. He is responsible for planning and execution of internal auditing to insure continuous quality improvement.


Through the years, he has co-authored a number of timely articles related to his field.  He has also presented at the Advertising Research Federation Week of Workshops and most recently for the World Association of Research Professionals. Danny serves on the Southeastern Advisory Board for the College of Business and has been a regular speaker during the Southeastern Business Week.
