Bridge the Gap Between Experience and Strategic Business Leadership
Moving from hands-on execution to high-level strategic management requires an entirely new toolkit. You don’t need to spend years in a classroom to speak the language of business—you need practical, actionable acumen that transforms how you lead.
Through an intensive 5-day format, you will master cross-functional business essentials and put them to the test instantly using a live, competitive business simulation.
Is The Mini-MBA Program Right For You?
This program is intentionally built for three distinct career paths:
- The Technical-to-Leader Professional: Line-level experts (such as healthcare coordinators, clinical staff, or technical specialists) who are stepping into supervisor roles and need to master budgets, team metrics, and operations.
- The Business Owner & Entrepreneur: Founders and trade experts (such as HVAC, construction, or retail business owners) who deeply understand their industry but want the formal finance, accounting, and marketing frameworks they may have missed by skipping business school. No prior college degree is required to enroll.
- The Aspiring MBA Candidate: Professionals considering returning to school for a graduate degree who want a fast-paced, low-risk “test drive” to see if a full MBA is their right next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. This program is intentionally built for non-business majors and working professionals. Many successful entrepreneurs reach out to us wanting an MBA, only to realize that a 4-year undergraduate degree is a prerequisite. The Mini-MBA requires no previous degree or college credits—it is designed to deliver the exact business education you are missing without the multi-year commitment.
Instead of reviewing static case studies from a textbook, your cohort will be split into competitive teams to run a virtual enterprise. As the week progresses, you will make quarter-by-quarter strategic choices on pricing, marketing, staffing, and technology. You will watch your data update in real time and compete directly against other teams to build the highest-performing business by Friday.
Absolutely not. Adult professionals learn by doing, not by listening to PowerPoints. Our faculty are content experts who operate as facilitators, not lecturers. You will collaborate, debate, and solve real-world problems.
Think of this as an executive-level taster. You will experience the pacing, the depth of content, and the networking dynamics of graduate-level business education. If you decide to pursue a fully in-person or Executive MBA or our fully remote MiTech MBA program later, you will enter day one with a massive competitive advantage.
Participants who complete the 5-day track will receive a certificate of completion for the Mini MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business, along with ongoing executive networking connections across the region.
