Our mission is to provide support and guidance for Southeastern students in transition who are no longer served by the First Year Advisors and are uncertain about their major or future careers. For new transfer students within this demographic, we also provide information pertaining to Southeastern policies, procedures, advising structures, terminology, learning platform, academic expectations, and student engagement opportunities. Our focus is to empower transitioning students with clarity and progression in their individual academic and career goals.
To accomplish this mission, our Academic Career and Exploration Coaches and Transfer Student Coordinator work as a cohesive unit in partnership with deans, department heads, undergraduate coordinators, and alumni to provide practical information, resources, and specific programming – all assembled to better equip students in transition with skills and strategies that strengthen confidence and connection with their choice of major and cultivate academic and professional growth.
