Add-On Certification
Explore this section
Southeastern offers add-on certification programs for certified teachers through graduate degree and non-degree options. Non-degree courses are embedded in master’s degrees, allowing non-degree students to choose master’s degree options after enrolling.
Coursework for the programs listed below are offered at Southeastern. Because these are add-on certification areas, coursework is not the only requirement. All requirements, including coursework, are available from the Louisiana Department of Education.
Add-on certification applications are processed by the teacher directly to the Louisiana Department of Education or through his/her district human resources’ staff. Southeastern staff do not process add-on certification applications.
Current Louisiana Department of Education policy requires a final grade of C or better on all courses to be used for add-on certification.
