Dr. Freeman earned a B.A. Organizational Communications and Speech Theory with a minor in English and an M.A. in English, as well as an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education at Southeastern Louisiana University. She served as Miss Southeastern Louisiana University 1998 and taught middle school, high school, and university English courses for over 20 years.
Dr. Freeman has served as a presenter for the South Central Society for Eighteenth Century Studies and as an essay rater for Educational Testing Services. She currently serves as a founding member of the Miss Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Chapter and an Academic Advisor and Instructor of SE 1010 in the Office for First Year Success.
