Amy Schneida earned their B.S. in Biological Sciences and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University, in addition to an M.S. in Applied Psychology from the University of New Orleans. They currently serve as an Academic Advisor and Instructor for both SE 1010 and SE 1017: the Honors Appreciation of the Arts Living Learning Community.
They have presented with Dr. Laura Squires of the SLU Counseling Program on "Ethics in Diagnosis: How Gender Intersects in the Diagnostic Process" at the national Law and Ethics in Counseling Conference. Their current research interests include understanding and mediating personal and academic burnout in gifted and talented ("Honors") students.
