Mauricio Salazar-Arguello, M.S., LPC

Mauricio Salazar is a full-time licensed professional counselor at the University Counseling Center. He graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Mauricio has experience working with students in a college setting who are experiencing concerns with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, as well as experience working with substance use issues among the adult population.

Additionally, Mauricio holds a Master of Arts in Theology (M.A.) and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and is open to talking about spirituality concerns (if any) that students may bring to counseling. He is currently a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and also holds a National Counselor Certification (NCC).
