Trent Threeton, M.Ed.

Trent L. Threeton is a Lecturer of World Languages and Cultures and faculty advisor for Le Cercle Français at Southeastern Louisiana University. He also serves as Assistant Registrar for External Records, overseeing external academic credit and University Testing Center operations. His teaching and scholarly interests include French and Francophone studies, mythology, world language education, instructional design, digital storytelling, place-based learning, and the cultural history of Louisiana. His work emphasizes the use of educational technology and experiential learning to strengthen language acquisition, cultural understanding, and student engagement.

He serves on the Board of the Louisiana Foreign Language Teachers’ Association and is a member of the Modern Language Association, American Association of Teachers of French, and Centre de la francophonie des Amériques. He holds an M.Ed. in Education Technology and Instructional Design and a B.A. in World Languages with a concentration in French with minors in Communication and Francophone & Creole Ethnic Studies. He also holds an undergraduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and has completed graduate coursework in French.
