Accepted Student Checklist

Your next steps now that you are accepted:
1. Ensure your application is complete
Submit Immunization Records
To be fully admitted, Southeastern needs to have proof of your appropriate immunizations.Ā Ā The ImmunizationĀ Form can be found here. Please submit your records to us via email atĀ [email protected]Ā or fax to 985.549.5882.
2. Apply for Housing
Did you know that students that live on campus have higher overall GPAs and graduateĀ at a higher rate? Ā Our residence halls fill up fast so pleaseĀ apply for housing now!
3. Complete FAFSA
To apply for TOPS or any need-based financial aid you will need to fill out the FreeĀ Application for Federal Student Aid. Ā Visit theĀ Financial Aid website for more information and to start the process. The FAFSA can be filled out after October 1.
4. Register for Orientation/Enroll in classes
Orientation is fun, informative and necessary (if you have less than 30 credit hours)! Now that you are admitted, your next step is to register for Orientation. Prepare for your upcoming year, meet new classmates, and learn about services and programs available to students. Ā Orientation information and invitations will be sent out late in the fall for students starting in the spring and during the spring for students starting in the fall. Be on the lookout for your invitation!Ā Ā
Those students who have already completed Orientation, but still have less than 30 credit hours will need to be advised by our Office of First-Year Success.
If you are a transfer student with more than 30 credit hours, youĀ will need to be advised by the Transfer Student Success Center. Be on theĀ lookout for an email from the TSSC with advising instructions soon after you are admitted. If you have additional questions regarding degree options, advising, and other campus resources, please feel free to reach out to theĀ Transfer Student Success CenterĀ for assistance.
5. Ensure Final College Transcripts are Submitted
In addition, please verify that your Final College Transcripts have also been submitted. We must have official transcripts from high school, dual enrollment or any college or university you may have attended.
6. Fee Bill
Fee bills will be issued close to the beginning of the semester. Please check your Workday account to ensure your fee bill is paid on time. Click here to learn more information regarding paying your fees.
