Expansion of Nursing Excellence

Southeastern has an ambitious two-phase plan that addresses two critical issues for Louisiana: the shortage of healthcare workers and overcoming barriers to rural healthcare. Phase 1 includes the renovation of the Baton Rouge School of Nursing, simulation equipment and additional faculty and staff. Once Phase 1 is complete, we will offer mirrored nursing education programs on both the Hammond and Baton Rouge campuses. This will allow for the acceptance of 32% more nursing students each year to help combat regional nursing shortages.
