ANNUAL MARJORIE MORRISON MEMORIAL MEMBERS' TEA
Local author Seth Pevey will be the featured speaker for the annual Friends of Sims
Library Marjorie Morrison Memorial Members' Tea on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:00
pm in Sims Memorial Library, Southeastern Louisiana University. The doors will open
at 1:45 pm.
Seth Pevey writes gritty, compelling mystery and thriller fiction with a southern noir flair—deep settings, flawed characters, and compelling situations with morally gray solutions. A native Louisianian, he resides in Hammond with his wife, a professional calligrapher. You can learn more about Seth and his novels at www.sethpevey.com. We plan to have a selection of his books available for purchase at the event, and a book signing will follow the Tea.
Guests will enjoy a variety of teas and a selection of delicious sandwiches and pastries. Our popular bottomless mimosas will be available for $10.00.
The Tea is free to Friends of Sims Library members. Those who renew at the Associate or Patron level may reserve one additional complimentary seat for a guest. Friends at the Lifetime level may reserve a complimentary table for four. The cost for non-members is $25, which includes your admission to the Tea and an Individual membership in the Friends for 2023.
To guarantee seating for the Tea, the deadline for checks is Friday, February 24 and the deadline for online reservations is noon on Wednesday, March 1.
