Theater students present 'Pass or Fail' -- two nights of one-act plays

      HAMMOND – Students in Southeastern Louisiana University’s directing and advanced acting classes will present “Pass or Fail,” two nights of one-act plays, May 2-3.

      The plays are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Vonnie Borden Theatre in D Vickers Hall. Admission is free. Some of the plays have adult content and are not suitable for young audiences.

      The 11 students are enrolled in classes taught by Southeastern theater professor James Winter. The students and the plays they will direct are:

      May 2 – Kathryn Steele of Baton Rouge, “Tender Offer” by Wendy Wasserstein; Jennifer Guedon of Baton Rouge, “Funeral Parlor” by Christopher Durang; Ashley Courtney of Denham Springs, “Dinner Plans” by Vicki Bartholomew; Arielle Lemoine of Slidell, “Moonlight Grave” by Chris Gordon; Heather Martin of Ponchatoula, “Death Knocks” by Woody Allen.

      May 3 -- Kimberlee Molley of Geismar, “Identity Crisis” by Christopher Durang; Mindy Mayon of Denham Springs, “The DMV One” by Nick Zagone; Leigh Mitchell of Hammond, “Feng Shui” by Bethany Stillion; Jill Moran of Gonzales, “Sure Thing” by David Ives; Rachel Johnson of Mandeville, “Are You OK” by Benjamin Norman; Alicia Regan of Slidell, “Words, Words, Words” by David Ives.
