Exhibit showcases Southeastern seniors

HAMMOND – The works of Southeastern Louisiana University art students who will graduate in May will be on display April 27-May 11 at the university’s Contemporary Art Gallery in East Stadium.
The exhibit features art work by 22 art and art education majors, who will be honored at an opening reception from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 27.
The student artists are Eric Danby, Ken Newton, Shaun Pendarvis, and Maury White-Hereford, Hammond; Rob Fairburn, Tickfaw; Heather Husser, Husser; Chris McElveen, Kentwood; Kelly Knight, Franklinton; Darryl Alello and Lenora Stark, Denham Springs; Jamie Burkhalter, Elizabeth Burt, Wayne Goudeau, Katie Henderson, and Nicole Schexnayder, Baton Rouge; Alisha Camus, Greenwell Springs; Jolenn Darensbourg, Baker; Jessica Clement and Anne Hinkle, Destrehan; Shane Pizzolato, Metairie; Haley Sonnier, Belle Chasse; and Jamie Alonzo, Gretna.
Contemporary Art Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., weekdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. For additional information call Dale Newkirk, gallery director, at 985-549-5080.
