LEARNING ABOUT LEADERSHIP – Students from Hammond High and Independence High participate in "Untangle the Web," a team-building exercise in which they have to untangle themselves while not letting go of their hands, at the Southeastern Louisiana University Student Government Association’s annual “Young Leaders Conference.”

LEARNING ABOUT LEADERSHIP – Students from Springfield High and Maurepas High participate in "Untangle the Web," a team-building exercise in which they have to untangle themselves while not letting go of their hands, at the Southeastern Louisiana University Student Government Association’s annual “Young Leaders Conference.”

      HAMMOND – Approximately 120 high school and junior high students from four parishes learned about issues such as communication and goal-setting at the Young Leaders Conference, sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana University’s Student Government Association.

      The conference has grown annually since its inception in 2004, when students from 12 schools attended, SGA representatives said. This year’s participants represented 16 schools in Tangipahoa, Livingston, St. Tammany and Washington parishes.
