Spring registration dates and deadlines

HAMMOND -- E-mail messages have been sent to Southeastern Louisiana University students reminding them about dates and deadlines for the university's spring 2007 semester registration.
Students who registered during the early-registration period in November may make changes in their schedules Jan. 2-5. All fees for pre-registered students are due by Jan. 5, 4:30 p.m. Those who meet the fee deadline may participate in a special drop/add period from 8 a.m. to noon on Jan. 8.
New students may apply for admission online at www.selu.edu or in person at Enrollment Services, North Campus Main Building, room 113. The application fee is $70 and Jan. 5 is the application deadline. No applications will be accepted after that date.
Spring semester regular registration is scheduled from noon, Jan. 8 to 6 p.m., Jan. 11. Regular registration is open by appointment to all new students and to continuing students who did not register early or did not pay their fees by the early registration fee payment deadline. The regular registration fee deadline is Jan. 11, 6 p.m. A late registration period is scheduled Jan. 16-18.
Students may check their registration appointments, view spring class schedules and register online through the "LEONet" link on the university's home page, www.selu.edu. They will find easy-to-follow instructions after logging into the university's intranet at the LEONet-Students link. Students are also reminded to make appointments for advising prior to registering, if their academic department requires advising.
Students may register from any computer with Internet access and pay fees online with a credit card through their LEOnet account. Instructions are available online at www.selu.edu/controller. Fees may also be paid in person at the Controller's Office in the North Campus Financial Aid Building, room 107.
All beginning freshmen or transfer freshmen with less than 30 hours of college credit earned must attend a two-day orientation program scheduled for Jan. 8-9 in the War Memorial Student Union. For additional information about orientation please call (985) 549-5637.
