REPUBLIC OF COSTA RICA THANKS SOUTHEASTERN – Michel Chartier Fuscaldo, center, director general of external affairs for the Republic of Costa Rica, presents a letter of appreciation from the President of the Republic to Southeastern Louisiana University President Randy Moffett thanking the university for providing temporary office space for General Consul Gonzalo Calderon, left, following Hurricane Katrina. Calderon, the dean of the New Orleans consular corps, maintained temporary headquarters in the university’s Southeast Louisiana Business Center. Costa Rican President Abel Pacheco de la Espriella cited the friendship and cooperation that has developed over the years between the Latin American nation and Southeastern.
