MISSISSIPPI AND LOUISIANA PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP -- The Mississippi and Louisiana Peace Officers Association is funding an annual scholarship for a Southeastern Louisiana University criminal justice major. Preference will be given to a student whose parent or parents work or have worked in law enforcement. Pictured are, from left, association President Ray Reynolds, chief of police of Magnolia, Miss., Vice President for University Advancement Joe Miller, and association secretary-treasurer James Rimes, chief of police in Kentwood and a 1973 Southeastern graduate. Chiefs Rimes and Reynolds were instrumental in obtaining the scholarship for Southeastern.
