Blair Abene of Hammond, Miss Southeastern Louisiana University 2006, models her competition gown for the Miss Louisiana Pageant at a campus “good luck send off” on June 7. Abene, a junior music and mass communication major, will compete in the state’s Miss America preliminary June 13-17 in Monroe. The Miss Louisiana Pageant can be viewed on UPN television stations Saturday, June 17, at 8 p.m. Locally, those stations are WUPL in New Orleans and WBTR in Baton Rouge.
