Southeastern hosts Business Week March 27-30

       HAMMOND – Guest speakers from a variety of business related fields will share real-world experiences with Southeastern Louisiana University students during the College of Business’s annual Business Week March 27-30.

       “Business Week is designed to bring our college closer to the community and to allow students to benefit from the experiences of real-world leaders,” said Dean Randy Settoon. “Guest speakers are outstanding business, industry, and governmental leaders from throughout the region.”

       This year’s feature speakers include small business owners and experts in fields such as human resources, banking, real estate development, and telecommunications.

       Business Week speakers include Hammond attorney Andre Coudrain; Saul P. Rubio, president of La Carreta and Adobe, Inc.; Nielsen Media Research Vice President Danny Monistere; AFLAC District Sales Manager Guy Gallo; Greg Johnson, director of marketing and business development for the Port of Baton Rouge; Karen Parker, vice president for finance, Our Lady of the Lake Health System; First Guaranty Bank President Mike Sharp; Don Redman, AAA public affairs; Kevin Babin, business analyst for Tembec Paper Group, LLC; and William Chaucer Jr. and Cheryl Chaucer, president and CEO and vice president of operations, respectively, of Chaucer Holding Company, LLC.

       Presentations are open to students, faculty, and community members on a space available basis.  Programs outlining date, time, location, and topic of presentation may be obtained in Garrett Hall, room 3.
