      HAMMOND – Barbara Gennaro of Yazoo City, Miss., and Amanda Cressionnie of Hammond received the Dean’s Award, the top honor in Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of General Studies, at its honors convocation on April 27.

      Dean Barbara Allen presented Cressionne with the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in the general studies bachelor’s degree program, while Gennaro received the honor for the associate degree program.

      Also at the annual honors recognition ceremony, Tracie Cavalier of Slidell received the Bachelor of General Studies Outstanding Graduate award, and the Associate in General Studies Outstanding Graduate honor went to Kristin McCants of Kenner.

      The college also recognized its students who were inducted into the 13 Club and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.
