HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is sponsoring “Paw’d,” a campaign to promote school spirit, on Thursday, Oct 26.

“’Paw’d’ is all about rewarding school spirit on the Southeastern campus,” said PRSSA Vice President Troy Huizar, a senior mass communication major from Metairie. “On Thursday anyone spotted wearing Southeastern apparel -- T-shirts, shorts, caps, etc.-- will be issued a  ‘Paw’d’ sticker redeemable for a 20 percent discount at the Southeastern bookstore.”

He said the stickers will be given out at the War Memorial Student Union, in front of D Vickers Hall, and in front of the Student Government Association office, Student Union room 207.

“Students must be wearing the sticker on their clothing in order to get the discount at the bookstore,” Huizar said.

Students who are interested in public relations and in becoming a member of the PRSSA are welcome to attend weekly meetings on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. in D Vickers Hall, room 384. They can also contact Melissa Biehl at melissa.biehl@selu.edu.
