HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Southeast will host “One Click Social Media Management,” a half-day seminar on managing social media communications.
The seminar is scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center on 1415 Martens Drive in Hammond.
“Businesses know that social media helps drive leads, strengthen client relationships, establish brand recognition and/or expertise and increase search engine optimization ranking,” said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern SBDC. “The problem is most companies aren’t sure how to manage the many channels available and still have time to run their businesses.”
Summers said the seminar will be led by instructor Michelle Cullison, a social media consultant who helps businesses and their leaders integrate social media into their overall strategic plan.
“She is the creator of the acclaimed ‘Social Media Boot Camp’ seminar, the first of its kind in the greater New Orleans area,” Summers said. “She is a sought after keynote speaker for associations and business meetings, and is the co-author of ‘Facebook Best Practices,’ ‘Twitter Best Practices,’ and author of ‘Lost in MySpace Parenting Guide.’”
The cost to attend is $60, and discounts are available to members of any North Shore area Chamber of Commerce. For more information or to register, contact LSBDC Southeastern at 985-549-3831 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
