HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s dance program will host “Impressions of the Sole,” a dance concert featuring the choreography of three Southeastern seniors.
The free 7:30 p.m. concert will be presented March 15 at the Pottle Music Building Auditorium.
The 80-minute concert features the choreography of Southeastern seniors Kaleigh Brandt of Slidell, Nicold Judson of Baton Rouge and Ashli Tallo of Hammond and includes a 15-minute intermission.
“Since Southeastern does not have a dance major, these three seniors, who are each majoring in different fields while studying dance, are revealing their passion and love for dance,” said dance professor and faculty advisor for the concert Martie Fellom. “They are deeply invested in the choreographic process to create works that vividly speak about the human condition and spirit. With three powerful voices depicting a range of subject matter, this concert will prove to be a Southeastern event not to miss.”
In addition to Brandt, Judson and Tallo, Southeastern dancers performing in the concert include Dillon Chustz of Central, Sarah Gregoire of Baton Rouge, Ashanti McLaurin of Chicago and Victoria Vollentine and Brittany Zacary of Mandeville. Guest performers include Kayla Cangiamilla of Mandeville, Austyn Hollowell of Columbia, Mich., Brooklyn Starkey of Albany and Britley Wells of Ponchatoula.
