     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business honored its top students at the college’s annual honors convocation May 3.
     Award recipients included Joshua E. Cryer of Leesville and Katie M. Duhe of Paulina, Distinguished Graduates in Accounting; Dennis J. Haydel of Lacombe, Distinguished Graduate in Finance; Brian Richardson of Madisonville, Distinguished Graduate in Business Administration and Outstanding Academic Award in Economics; Mary Kathryn Johnsen of Covington, Distinguished Graduate in Management; Carrie McPhail of Lafayette, Distinguished Graduate in Supply Chain Management; Janée Ratelle of Baton Rouge, Distinguished Graduate in Marketing; and Alexandra Mayer of Baton Rouge, Distinguished MBA Graduate.
     The college named F. Michael Babineaux as its 2011 Outstanding Alumnus. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern in marketing and was the first buyer Federal Express hired when it started operations in Memphis in 1973. Beginning with the purchasing of aviation parts and supplies and moving to high level negotiations for the company’s major acquisitions, Babineaux handled purchasing for FedEx for 30 years. He is currently President and CEO of his own company that he began in 2003, Babineaux Educational Services and Training.
     The college recognized inductees of the 13 Club and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies and presented departmental awards and scholarships to:
