Southeastern students honored at Business Convocation

HAMMOND – Students earning accolades from Southeastern Louisiana University’s
College of Business were honored May 2 at the college’s annual academic convocation.
Dean Antoinette Phillips also recognized those students inducted into Beta Gamma
Sigma honor society and Southeastern’s own honor society, the Thirteen Club. Marketing
Instructor April Kemp recognized the college’s incoming and outgoing student ambassadors.
Students recognized with awards included:
Livingston Parish: Jessica Robinson, Walker, Distinguished Graduate in Management.
St. Tammany Parish: Abigail Benson, Mandeville, Distinguished Graduate in Marketing; and Brandon Richardson,
Slidell, Distinguished Graduate in Accounting and Distinguished Graduate in Business
Administration.
Tangipahoa Parish: Joris Etlin, Hammond, Distinguished Graduate in Finance; and Sofia Olsson, Hammond,
Outstanding Academic Award in Economics.
Cullman, Ala.: William Samuel Huser, Distinguished Graduate in Supply Chain Management.
CUTLINES:
1) SOUTHEASTERN HONORS LIVINGSTON BUSINESS STUDENT – Jessica Robinson of Walker was recognized as the Distinguished Graduate in Management
by Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business at the college’s honors
convocation held May 2.
2) SOUTHEASTERN HONORS ST. TAMMANY BUSINESS STUDENTS – Abigail Benson, left, of Mandeville and Brandon Richardson of Slidell were recognized
by Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business at the college’s honors
convocation held May 2.
Benson was named Distinguished Graduate in Marketing, while Richardson was honored
as Distinguished Graduate in Accounting and Distinguished Graduate in Business Administration.
3) SOUTHEASTERN HONORS TANGIPAHOA BUSINESS STUDENTS – Sofia Olsson, left, and Joris Etlin, both of Hammond, were recognized by Southeastern
Louisiana University’s College of Business at the college’s honors convocation held
May 2. Olsson received the Outstanding Academic Award in Economics, while Etlin was
named the Distinguished Graduate in Finance.
4) SOUTHEASTERN HONORS BUSINESS STUDENT – William Samuel Huser of Cullman, Ala. was recognized as the Distinguished Graduate
in Supply Chain Management by Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business
at the college’s honors convocation held May 2.
