What is EvolveU  ?

EvolveU at Southeastern Louisiana University is a one-day high school leadership conference for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors from Louisiana.

 

The conference is designed to equip, empower and inspire high school students with valuable leadership skills that will benefit them in their daily lives as they continue to grow as influential leaders in school, in their community, and among peers. 

 

Participants will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of leadership, meet other student leaders, and learn about and discuss leadership roles alongside Southeastern students, staff, and faculty.

 

Who can attend?

EvolveU is for high school students who want to develop their leadership abilities in order to have an impact on other students, their school, their peers, and their community. EvolveU students are academically motivated, involved in at least one extracurricular activity, and are eager to lead others along a path of effecting positive change with positive results. 

 

Eligible participants are rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors from Louisiana.

 

Where will the conference take place?

EvolveU is hosted by Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA.  The campus is located approximately 45 miles east of Baton Rouge and 45 miles northwest of New Orleans.

  

Why should high school students be interested?

EvolveU at Southeastern Louisiana University is designed to equip, empower and inspire high school students with valuable leadership skills that will benefit them in their daily lives as they continue to grow as influential leaders in school, in their community, and among peers.  Participants will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of leadership, meet other student leaders, and learn about and discuss leadership roles alongside Southeastern students, staff, and faculty. They will also hear about the real life experiences of college students and their journeys post high school. 

 

How much does it cost?

Registration is $25 per student.

Register by March 22nd to receive a conference t-shirt and swag items!
