Southeastern’s faculty actively seeks the advice of business leaders in curricula development and refinement. In turn, our graduates are well-prepared skilled learners who are capable and nimble to adapt to employers’ needs.

For Employers

Elevate your company by attracting well-prepared, emerging talent.

The Workforce Talent Initiative’s staff is eager to work directly with business and industry. This includes serving as a liaison for firms to connect with the right people within the Department of Computer Science in such areas as educational resources, special projects, and job placement, to list but a few.

Faculty members seek input from the business community to help define the experiences and the exit-skills expected of students. We actively solicit internship opportunities and class assignments where students apply their academic training to defined work-place projects. It is quite common for companies to hire Southeastern’s interns upon graduation. The students’ work has been vetted and they are oriented to the workplace culture and familiar with products / services, significantly reducing on-boarding time and expense. We also welcome opportunities for companies to have subject-matter experts speak to students. For more information, contact us at WTI@southeastern.edu.
