HAMMOND – Popular area musician Todd O'Neill is a late addition to the entertainment being
offered at Southeastern Louisiana University's Chefs Evening Sunday, March 3.
Scheduled from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Pennington Student Activity Center, Chefs Evening features food and beverages prepared by chefs at some of the area's most popular establishments, such as Jacmel's Inn, Buddies Bar and Grill, Tommy's on Thomas, Your Mom's and many more. Approximately 40 area restaurants, bakeries, beverage distributors and other vendors participate in the annual event.
Singer-songwriter O'Neill will offer his own brand of soulful, rockin' country music at the event, Southeastern's largest fundraiser designed to enhance academic programming at the university.
A highlight of the event will be the raffle of a 14kt white gold diamond sideways cross pendent, handset and custom designed for Chefs Evening by Guzzardo's Fine Jewelers of Hammond. The pendent features 16 round brilliant cut diamonds with an estimated weight of .27cts displayed on a 14kt white gold 18-inch diamond-cut cable chain. Valued at $1,500, the piece was created and designed especially for Chefs Evening by Guzzardo's.
A few patron tables remain available at a cost of $1,000 and include six tickets to Chefs Evening with a reserved table, six tickets to the President's Toast held prior to Chefs Evening, valet parking, VIP entrance 30 minutes prior to the event, six wine glasses, two bottles of wine at the table, a personal wait staff and the listing of a business or name in the event program.
A handful of reserved tables with tickets for six are still available for $500.
