Annual Marjorie Morrison Memorial Tea to Benefit Sims Library.

The 13th annual Marjorie Morrison Memorial Tea will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at
2:00 pm at Sims Library. The doors will open at 1:45 pm. The Friends of Sims Library support
the activities and collections of the library by generating funds to purchase needed equipment
and resources, provide programs, sponsor lectures, and host other special events. Tickets for
this event, which includes a Friends of Sims Library membership, are $35.

This year’s tea will feature a variety of teas, a selection of delicious sandwiches and pastries,
and bottomless mimosas (available for an additional $10). Guests will also enjoy an interview
with local playwright and lyricist Donna Gay Anderson by Melissa Griffin, Director of the
Hammond Regional Arts Center.

Donna Gay’s plays include The Way We Say Goodbye, performed in Hammond, Cedar Rapids,
and St. Paul; High and Mighty; Unfolded; and Dead Reckoning. She is currently working with
