Lions Lend a Paw for Flood Relief
Before the start of the fall semester, Lions volunteered over 1,000 much-needed hours of manpower helping with the regional recovery effort following the historic flooding that devastated much of south Louisiana. Communication professor Amber Narro and a team of faculty and staff help organize the overwhelming volunteer efforts from students and the community. Teams of students, student athletes, and members of many student organizations went out to over 60 homes to assist with cleanup using supplies donated by the community.
Community Music School
Register now for the fall session of Southeastern's Community Music School. Students of all ages can participate in private lessons on various instruments and voice. Opportunities for group instruction and chamber ensemble formation are also available. Thanks to a generous sponsorship from First Guaranty Bank, discounted tuition will be offered to students on reduced or free lunch at their schools this academic year..
