The Joseph and Jewell Ebrecht Excellence in Education Memorial Endowed Scholarship 
The scholarship was established by Joseph “J.E.” Ebrecht, the founder of Ponchatoula
Feed and Seed and longtime resident of Ponchatoula.  The scholarship provides financial
assistance  to a student attending Southeastern and majoring in Education. 

Byard Edwards MBA Scholarship 
The scholarship was established in honor of Mr. Byard Edwards, Sr. by his son Andrew
Edwards ‘74, a former member and past-President of the Southeastern Foundation Board
of Directors.  Byard Edwards, Sr. a longtime resident of Ponchatoula, was the President
and Founder of Ponchatoula Lumber Company and served as a member of the Board of Directors
of Citizens National Bank. This scholarship provides financial assistance to a student
from the Florida Parishes enrolled in the MBA Program.

Frederick Emmendorfer Endowed Scholarship in Industrial Technology 
The scholarship was established by his daughter, Wendy Lauderdale ‘93, Vice President
for University Advancement at Southeastern and her husband Steve Lauderdale ‘83. 
Fred was a life-long resident of St. Louis, Missouri, and a Hammond resident in his
later years.  Fred was the owner and operator of Emmendorfer’s Service Station for
over 50 years and is remembered for his wit and kindness to all he met. The scholarship
in Industrial Technology perpetuates his memory and provides financial assistance
to Southeastern students in Industrial Technology.

Helen Entrikin Endowed Scholarship in Art 
Ms. Entrikin began her art studies at Southeastern after retiring from teaching. She
blossomed as a sculptor and eventually went on to become the President of the Hammond
Art Guild, and founded the Mail Car Art Gallery in Ponchatoula. The scholarship was
endowed by her family and friends to benefit an upperclassman in art.

Janice and Leonie Ezegbunam Endowed Scholarship in Track and Field 
The sisters, Janice ‘04,’05 and Leonie ‘09, ‘09 both majored in accounting and received
MBA’s at Southeastern and  were successful track athletes while at Southeastern. 
They were recruited to the  University from the Bahamas.  The scholarship provides
tuition assistance to track and field athletes.
