subject areas. The database includes scholarly video material of virtually every video
type: documentaries, interviews, performances, news programs and newsreels, field
recordings, commercials, demonstrations, and original titles. There are thousands
of award-winning films, including Academy,® Emmy,® and Peabody® winners, along with
many films used for classroom instruction. Academic Video Online also contains newly
released films and previously unavailable archival material.
Notes: Database includes transcripts, permanent URLS for course management systems, and
the functionality to create and share video clips and playlists. Permissions allow
for in-class viewing.
