Southeastern receives 'clean audit'

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University has received a clean bill of health on its finances from the state Office of the Legislative Auditor.
Southeastern is audited as part of the University of Louisiana System and thus receives an audit of its financial operation annually by the Legislative Auditor’s Office. The review of the financial information for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006 resulted in no issues requiring disclosure to the university or to the state of Louisiana.
The opinion indicates that no matters of concern were revealed in the annual review of finances, explained President Randy Moffett.
“Southeastern’s audit is typically good,” Moffett said, “and this represents the high ethical standards we instill in our management and staff. We consider ourselves good stewards of the public trust and value this recognition from the state.”More News...
