Members of the Sherman family present the William F. Sherman, M.D. Memorial Scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University student Karen George, a biology major from Baton Rouge. The Sherman family endowed the scholarship in memory of the late Dr. William Sherman of Ponchatoula, a 1971 Southeastern graduate, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1976. It supports students seeking careers in medicine.
