Southeastern hosts Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute April 1-May 8

     HAMMOND Participants can learn about construction management and preparing for the General Contractors State Licensing Exam at the Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute (LCAI), being hosted by Southeastern Louisiana University’s Small Business Development Center.

     Funded through Louisiana Department of Economic Development, the institute is scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday, April 1-May 8, 6-8 p.m. Taught by industry leaders, it is designed to assists small and emerging construction businesses.

     The LCAI sessions will be transmitted by compressed satellite video to McClimans Hall at Southeastern and nine other locations around the state.

     The course will cover bid processes, contract management, estimating, equipment and business management, scheduling, occupational safety, risk management, financial management, bonding and access to capital, certifications, entrepreneurship training, and the Louisiana Contractor Licensing Exam review.

     Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost is $125. Participants may register online at www.adultedreg.com/lctcs or call the Louisiana Community and Technical College System call center at 866-310-1586.
