SBDC offers June seminar series on 'Growing Your Sales'

     HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University, along with the Hammond Area Economic and Industrial Development District and Hammond Chamber of Commerce, will host the “Growing Your Sales” seminar series during the month of June. 

     Scheduled for Wednesday through July 1 at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center, 1514 Martens Dr. in Hammond, the series is a compilation of tactical topics and strategies to give businesses the tools to boost sales productivity, said Sandy Summers, LSBDC assistant director.

     The schedule includes “Sales and Service Techniques for Small Business,” June 3;

“Sales Strategies during a Recession,” June 10; “Understanding and Adapting to Different Behavioral and Buying Styles,” June 17; “Understanding Your Sales Cycle and Strategies to Speed up the Process,” June 24; and “Prospecting for New Business in Difficult Times,” July 1.

     The series will be presented by Tiffanie Z. Lyon, author of the book “Sales is NOT a Dirty Word:  THE Inspirational Selling Guide for Non-traditional Salespeople.” Lyons is a sales expert and professional speaker who works with organizations to build a sales-service culture.

     Classes will be held from 9-11 a.m. Cost is $30 per session, with discounts available to area Chamber of Commerce members. Participants may select individual classes or sign up for the entire series.
