     HAMMOND – Melissa Campbell of Hammond received the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Business’s highest academic honor, the Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership, at the college’s annual honors convocation April 29.
     The college named David Kinnison as its 2010 Outstanding Alumnus. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern in accounting. Kinnison, whose parents were both accounting professors at Southeastern, became a certified public accountant and a certified treasury professional with the Association for Financial Professionals. He is currently vice president and treasurer of the Shaw Group, Inc., of Baton Rouge, a Fortune 500 company with over 28,000 employees throughout the world.
     The college recognized inductees into the 13 Club and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies and presented departmental awards and scholarships to:
