Kick off the holiday season at Southeastern’s Lion Up Recovery program’s Roomie’s Merry Market. The two-day shopping event will take place in the Pennington Center Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 2, from 12 until 4 p.m.
Over 80 local vendors will participate featuring boutiques, gourmet foods, art, and holiday décor. Activities for the event include photos with Santa, live music from a KSLU Radio DJ throughout the day, and a concert from the Southeastern Community Music School on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be available for purchase both days from the Lab School Dads, and admission is $5 at the door.
On Sunday, the Lionettes Dance Team will host a Holiday Dance Workshop for children ages 5-13. The registration fee is $40, and participants will learn a festive routine to perform for the crowd at 3:45 p.m. Parents can drop off dancers between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and will receive free admission to the market. Pre-registration is available online at southeastern.edu/foundation/giving/band-day, with walk-up registration also welcome.
The first 500 shoppers will receive a free shopping bag, and proceeds support scholarships and programming for students in the Lion Up Recovery program.
