A proud two-time Southeastern graduate, Dr. Jerry Parker brings passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to student success into everything he teaches. His love for languages began in high school and quickly grew into a lifelong calling—one strengthened by hands-on learning, travel abroad, and the mentorship he received as a student at Southeastern. Today, he channels that same inspiration into his classroom, showing students that language learning is both powerful and personal.

As an instructor of French, Spanish, and world language education, Dr. Parker is known for his dynamic, research-driven approach to teaching and curriculum design. He believes great instruction transforms lives—and he models that daily, bringing energy, curiosity, and compassion into every lesson. His work extends far beyond teaching: through leadership, scholarship, and service, he’s helping shape world language programs across the state and opening doors for the next generation of educators.
