Megan Mosher

Megan Mosher is a native of Tangipahoa and a proud graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with both a bachelors in mass communication and journalism and a masters in organizational communication. She worked in the news industry and the nonprofit sector of public rations for 7 years before returning to Southeastern as an instructor and faculty advisor. In her personal time, she enjoys baking, reading, crafting and spending time with her family.

Area of Expertise

General news and public relations writing as well as AP Style, born from working as a full time journalist and then as the director of marketing and communication for the local chamber of commerce. Other areas of expertise include opinion writing and PR-related layout and design.

Megan focuses on providing her students with the practical skills and real-world experiences they need to succeed in the field of communication. She teaches the basic news writing and public relations courses, advanced news writing and public relations writing courses, opinion/review writing and photojournalism. Each of her courses is designed to let students build a portfolio they can use when applying for internships and jobs.
