Dr. Reine Bouton is an associate professor of art history specializing in American and Southern Literature. Her research explores place in literature and the power of rhetorical strategies. For many years, she took students to Italy for Southeastern’s study abroad program. She currently writes literary short fiction and personal essays. This Pushcart Prize nominated writer’s work has been published in academic journals, and she recently edited an anthology entitled Audacious Women.
