Russell A. Castro (University of Colorado ’91) has conducted research on substance use control policy and gray-market exchange dynamics in the Netherlands, as well as on alcohol use among public high school students in Louisiana. He formerly served as the Executive Officer of the Society for Applied Sociology and as an appointee on the National Alcohol and Drug Policy Advisory Committee of the Society for the Study of Social Problems.
