Robert Braun, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert L. Braun, Ph.D., CIA, is the Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance and the Phil K. Livingston Professor of Accounting at Southeastern Louisiana University. He has over 30 publications in leading academic, pedagogical, and practitioner journals including Accounting Organizations and Society, Issues in Accounting Education, and the Journal of Accountancy. He has presented at more than 50 scholarly and professional conferences. His research focuses on ethics in the accounting profession, pedagogical inquiry, and auditing behavior, while his teaching interests include ethics, auditing, and principles of accounting. Dr. Braun has been recognized with awards such as the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association's 1995 Outstanding Dissertation Award.

Dr. Braun teaches Ethics, Auditing and Principles of Accounting. With more than 35 years of teaching experience, he is committed to creating immersive learning experiences, strategic program development, and fostering ethical and engaged accountants who contribute meaningfully to their communities.
