Dr. Randy Settoon is a Professor of Management at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he has served for more than three decades in various academic and administrative roles, including Dean of the College of Business and Head of the Department of Management. He earned his Ph.D. in Management from Louisiana State University and his M.B.A. from Southeastern Louisiana University.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Settoon’s research focuses on organizational behavior and social exchange in the workplace. His widely cited article, “Social exchange in organizations: Perceived organizational support, leader–member exchange, and employee reciprocity,” published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, has been cited over 3,700 times and remains a foundational contribution to the field. In the classroom, he has taught courses such as Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, and Small Business Management, inspiring generations of business students and future leaders.
