Avinash Waikar, M.S., Ph.D.

Dr. Avinash Waikar has been a dedicated faculty member at Southeastern Louisiana University since 1991, teaching for over 34 years, including in the MBA and EMBA programs since 2001. With six years of prior experience at LSU, his teaching career spans four decades.

A licensed Professional Engineer and University of Oklahoma graduate, Dr. Waikar has earned the College Excellence in Research Award and was nominated for the President’s Award for Excellence in Research. He has served on numerous university committees and was appointed by the university president to the St. Charles Parish Public Works Department’s Qualification-Based Selection Board.

A committed mentor, Dr. Waikar guided master’s theses for international students from Germany and Austria. His legacy is defined by mentorship, integrity, and the success of his students.
