Greg Reeves is an instructor of exercise science at Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies. He began teaching as an adjunct instructor in 2006, and became a member of the faculty in 2008. He holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science, and a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Exercise Science, both from Southeastern. He is currently completing PhD coursework with research investigating the effects of a plant-based diet on maximal oxygen consumption.
In twenty years of course teaching, Reeves has served as undergraduate instructor for many disciplines within the domain of exercise science. The most frequent courses include exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, and muscle anatomy. He has collaborated on several published research studies investigating differences in concentric/eccentric contraction, and was first author on a study reporting endocrine responses to blood flow restriction during resistance exercise.
In addition to teaching, Reeves is program coordinator for the Kinesiology concentrations of exercise science and fitness and human performance, and fulfills undergraduate coordinator duties in summer.
