Mindy Notariano serves as Director of the Office for First-Year Success at Southeastern Louisiana University. She earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and brings more than 18 years of experience in academic advising and student success initiatives. With a strong background in both teaching and mentoring first-year students, Mindy is committed to fostering student growth by helping them navigate the transition to college, build meaningful academic plans, and connect with resources that support persistence and achievement. She is especially passionate about developing advising practices that are student-centered, collaborative, and focused on long-term academic and career goals.
Mindy has taught various versions of SE 1010, 1020, and 1017 and enjoys being in the classroom. Areas of expertise include first-year transition as well retention strategies and academic advising and student success.
