University Weather Update – Remote Work and Learning Monday 1/26/2026
January 25, 2026
Due to expected severe winter weather conditions, Southeastern will transition to remote work and learning for tomorrow, Monday, January 26. Students, communicate with your professors as needed. We expect to resume normal on-campus work and class schedule Tuesday, January 27. The Remote Phase of the Academic Continuity Plan is now in effect. This is not a closure, and all employees who are able to do so are expected to continue to work from home. Employees, please communicate with your supervisor for details or to coordinate duties. Faculty, please follow your class plan for the Remote Phase of the ACP. Continue to monitor university social media, the Southeastern website and alerts for the latest updates regarding further schedule changes. Please stay aware of the weather situation, take all proper precautions and stay safe.
Emergency Alert System
Southeastern uses an emergency alert messaging system to notify students, faculty, staff and preset relatives/friends in the case of an emergency. All students, faculty and staff are automatically signed up with their southeastern.edu email account and the cell phone number on file in Workday. Please visit Text, Email and Phone Alerts for more information.
Note: Text messages will be sent only in true emergencies and occasionally to test the system. You will not receive notices about registration, athletics or other events through this system.
