- Graduates receive dual certification in elementary and special education
- Snoezelen, a multi-sensory environment to support children and other individuals, provides opportunities for student involvement with multiple disciplines on campus, schools and community groups
- Lekotek, a toy lending library with child and family support, offers pedagogical experiences for students and opportunities for collaboration with schools and community groups
- Course objectives and learner outcomes aligned with COMPASS/ National Institute for Excellence Teaching, and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium.
